Zimbabwe-based Total Football Academy is overjoyed after one of their early prodigies, Munashe Garananga, landed a big move to Sheriff Tiraspol, who compete in the Uefa Champions League and other top European club competitions.

The 21-year-old central defender joined Sheriff Tiraspol from Dynamo Brest in Belarus, where he made an immediate impact, scoring two goals in 28 appearances after joining the club in February last year.

Sherriff Tiraspol has won 20 of the last 22 Moldovan Super Liga championships, including the last seven, and was crowned champions last season.

Sheriff’s complete dominance ensures that they have had a nearly guaranteed shot at qualifying for European football every season for the last 20 years.
