Job Opportunity: Apprenticeship Trainees at Zimbabwe Platinum Mines

Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Pvt) Limited (ZIMPLATS) is the leading producer of platinum group metals in Zimbabwe. With operations including the Ngezi Underground Mines, Ngezi Concentrator, and the Selous Metallurgical Complex (SMC), Zimplats is offering an exciting opportunity for recently qualified National Certificate or Diploma graduates.

We are seeking candidates to join our three-year structured apprenticeship programme in the designated trades listed below:

Job Title: Apprenticeship Trainees

  • Fitter & Turner (3 positions)
  • Boilermaker (3 positions)
  • Electrician (3 positions)

Job Grading: B1

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) ordinary level passes at grade C or better, including Mathematics, English Language, and Science.
  • National Diploma in the designated trade.
  • Clearance letter from the Registrar of Apprentices.
  • Aged 28 years or below.

Safety & Health - zimplats

Leadership Competencies:

  • Agile, self-driven, fast learner with a “can do” attitude.
  • Emotional and social intelligence, with outstanding interpersonal skills.

Apprenticeship Programme Structure:

  • On-the-job guided technical competency development.
  • Designated trade-focused coaching.
