Too Many Talents to Choose Just One” – Pitso Mosimane‘s Response to Who is the Best Player He’s Ever Coached
Pitso Mosimane, the South African tactician who moved to Saudi Arabia last year, has provided a difficult answer to the question of who was the best player he has ever coached in his illustrious career so far.
Mosimane recently spoke to the On The Whistle podcast about his quest to awaken the sleeping giant Al Ahli and his successful journey so far. His side did suffer a setback in their last game, however, when they lost the first out of 14 matches under his leadership.
When asked who the best player he has ever coached was, Mosimane replied, “It’s a difficult one because I coached national team – I’ve coached Benni McCarthy, I’ve coached Steven Pienaar.”
He went on to mention some of the top players in South Africa like Katlego Mphela, who played in France for Bordeaux, his Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana, Themba Zwane, Keagan Dolly, and Khama Billiat. “I don’t know [who was the best], they are many,” said Mosimane.
