Real Madrid’s Summer Swoop: Erling Haaland And Jude Bellingham Set To Reunite
Real Madrid is reportedly looking to revamp their team for the upcoming season by acquiring the services of Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham. The Spanish club is targeting Haaland as a long-term replacement for the aging Karim Benzema, and there seems to be less interest in signing Kylian Mbappe.
According to The Independent, Real Madrid is already in talks with Bellingham’s representatives and is confident of securing his signature. The club has now set its sights on Haaland, who they hope to lure away from Manchester City at the end of the current season.
Haaland’s impressive scoring record, having netted 27 goals in 25 Premier League games, has made him a prime target for Real Madrid.
The Norwegian striker and Bellingham already have a pre-existing relationship from their time at Borussia Dortmund, where they played together for a season and a half before Haaland moved to Manchester City last summer.
Real Madrid has been linked with Kylian Mbappe for some time now. After Paris Saint-Germain’s exit from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich, there are increasing speculations that the French forward may be tempted to leave Parc des Princes. However, Real Madrid has shifted its attention away from Mbappe, who snubbed the club’s advances in 2021.
Instead, Los Blancos are looking to secure the services of Erling Haaland for the upcoming season. The Spanish club sees Haaland as the ideal candidate to bolster their attacking options and is determined to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid’s decision to pursue Haaland comes after they were left frustrated in their attempts to sign Mbappe, and they now appear to have turned their attention elsewhere.
