Real Madrid’s Future Star, Breaks Down In Tears After Scoreless Match In Brazil
The 16-year-old Endrick, who is set to join Real Madrid in the future, has been struggling to score goals in Brazil, making for a difficult start to the year.
After ten games in 2023, he has yet to score a goal, which is taking an emotional toll on him. During his team’s recent match against Bragantino, Endrick was substituted in the 60th minute and he collapsed onto the bench, covering his face with a sweatshirt in what is perhaps his lowest moment.
Palmeiras’ coach, Abel Ferreira, confirmed that Endrick was crying at the time.
“I’m not his father, but I should have hugged him. Criticism is never easy to hear, so it’s important for him to stay calm.
“He’s under immense pressure to score five or six goals, and he’s trying to handle it on his own.
“The goal will come at the right time. He just needs to stay composed and keep a positive attitude.”
Real Madrid made a groundbreaking signing on December 15, 2023, with the acquisition of Endrick, who was enjoying a remarkable run of scoring form.
Real Madrid will have to wait until the summer of 2024 for the 16-year-old player to join their team, by which time he will be 18 years old.
The club has already paid a fixed fee of approximately 35 million euros for the transfer, with the potential for the fee to increase to 60 million euros based on certain variables. This transfer marks the most expensive deal in the history of Brazilian football.
