Preseason Training With Determination: Amakhosi Returns To Serious Business

Kaizer Chiefs Return to Kappa After 27 Years - Footy Headlines

Soweto’s renowned team, Kaizer Chiefs, has resumed training at their Naturena base as they prepare for the upcoming 2023/24 DStv Premiership season, set to kick off in August.

Motivated by their ambition to end their trophy drought, the Glamour Boys have consciously decided to commence their serious preparations a bit earlier, ensuring that the players are fully prepared for the challenging season ahead and vying for top honours.

After a disappointing 5th-place finish in the previous campaign, falling short of their goal to secure the Premier League title again, Amakhosi are leaving nothing to chance this time.

Speculation is rife regarding the potential appointment of former Young African coach Nasreddine Nabi, who is strongly linked to joining the former South African champions, potentially replacing under-fire Arthur Zwane. The upcoming preseason training, likely to begin on Friday, will unveil who will lead the team.

The club shared a video on their social media platforms on Thursday, confirming the team’s arrival at Naturena, accompanied by the caption, “Welcome Back ❤✌🏾 #GlamourBoys #Amakhosi4Life.”

In the meantime, newly acquired defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from SuperSport United will join his new teammates. TS Galaxy’s Given Msimango and Cape Town City’s Mduduzi Mdantsane are reportedly finalizing their agreements with Amakhosi and are on their way to joining the Soweto giants.

Khanyisa Mayo from Cape Town City, also on the wish list of champions Mamelodi Sundowns, is strongly linked with a move to Naturena.
