Mount And Silva Join Forces To Show Support For Kante’s U21s Return

N’GOLO KANTE made his much-anticipated return to the football field after a seven-month absence, and he was greeted with a warm welcome from his Chelsea teammates, Mason Mount, and Thiago Silva. The French midfielder made his first appearance in a behind-closed-doors match against Charlton’s Under-21s at the Blues’ Cobham training ground, where he played 60 minutes.

Mount and Silva were on the sidelines, showing their support for their teammate, with Mount even going the extra mile by wearing a Kante shirt. The England international was a keen observer of Kante’s performance, while Silva watched the game from the stands.

The match resulted in a 3-0 victory for the Chelsea Under-21s, with goals from Dion Rankine, Silko Thomas, and Malik Mothersille, and Kante was an instrumental part of the win. His return to the pitch is a huge boost for the Chelsea squad, especially for their manager, Graham Potter, who is under pressure following a string of disappointing results.

In a statement last week, Potter praised Kante’s contribution to the team, saying,

“N’Golo is a top, top player. He’s been a huge miss for us, and it’s great to have him back. However, we need to be mindful and take the necessary steps to get him back to his best form.”

The Chelsea boss also mentioned that Kante wouldn’t be able to play for 90 minutes just yet but expressed his excitement about having him back on the field.

Kante’s return to fitness is not just a boost for Chelsea, but it also gives him the opportunity to get back up to speed and play Premier League or Champions League football. The former Leicester City man has been out of action for a long time, and it will take some time for him to get back to his best form. Nevertheless, his return to the field is a positive sign for the Chelsea squad, and they will be looking forward to his contribution in the upcoming matches.
