Kaizer Chiefs confirm 6 new signings
Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs are not stopping at anything to ensure they build a formidable side ahead of the forthcoming DStv Premier League season.
The former champions are looking to come up with a title-winning squad and end their 8-year barren spell in the South African topflight.
After coming out of the just-ended season empty-handed, Amakhosi have gone all out on the transfer market to ensure they get the best possible players to beef up their squad.
Against that background, the Glamour Boys have announced the acquisition of former Marumo Gallants striker Ranga Chivaviro on a two-year deal with a one-year option as part of the team’s deliberate efforts to strengthen their attacking line.
The Limpopo-born Zimbabwean joins five other players namely Given Msimango, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Pule Mmodi, Mduduzi Mdantsane and Venezuelan Edson Castillo who have also signed for the Naturena-based outfit.
Given the status quo at the team, it is expected that bringing these new fresh pair of legs into the fold will help the Glamour Boys retain their glitz and glamour in the South African football landscape.
It is also further expected that Kaizer Chiefs will add a few more new players before the commencement of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign to give newly appointed coach Molefi Ntseki more options when it comes to team selection for match days.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi have already begun their pre-season preparations and the new boys are expected to join their fellow teammates as soon as possible.
