In Pictures: Cristiano Ronaldo Wearing The World’s Most Expensive Rolex GMT Master Ice
Cristiano Ronaldo is the world’s highest-paid athlete and he loves to spend his money on luxurious items like watches and cars. Recently, he was spotted wearing a $1.5 million watch made by Frank Muller while watching a boxing match in the Middle East. But this is not his only impressive timepiece.
He also owns the most expensive Rolex in the world, which he bought for £371,000 in 2019. The Rolex GMT Master Ice is made up of 18-karat white gold and covered in nearly 30 karats of expertly cut diamonds.
Ronaldo is not only passionate about watches, but he also likes to spend his money on cars. In October 2021, he spent €9.5 million on a supercar, a Bugatti Centodieci, with only 10 of the edition even being made by Bugatti. But it’s not just him who buys cars, his partner Georgina Rodriguez bought him a Rolls Royce for Christmas last year.
Despite leaving Manchester United earlier in the season, Ronaldo could still technically end up with a Carabao Cup winner’s medal after his old club won the trophy.
According to the Football League’s rules, the team is given 30 medals and they can distribute them how they please, although it seems unlikely anyone at Old Trafford will be in a rush to send one to Saudi Arabia where Ronaldo is currently playing for Al Nassr.
Although he might have preferred to have been at Wembley to watch his former club win the Carabao Cup, Ronaldo was spotted watching a boxing match in the Middle East instead. He didn’t seem too impressed with what he had seen and some noticed the expensive accessory he was wearing – a $1.5 million watch made by Frank Muller.
Ronaldo has been performing well for his new club, scoring a hat-trick recently. He left Manchester United for a huge pay packet, but it seems to have been a good decision for him so far.
