Job Opportunity: Medical Delegate – Nestlé Infant Nutrition
Qualification: We are seeking a qualified candidate with a B/BSc in Dietetics/Nutrition or a Nursing degree, coupled with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Experience as a Medical Delegate or a representative in the pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous. Proficiency in data management using digital devices and intermediate MS Excel skills are also necessary.

As a Nestlé Infant Nutrition Medical Delegate, your primary responsibility will be to drive volume growth and market share by promoting and advocating for Nestlé Infant Nutrition products to Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and Institutions within your assigned territory. You will play a crucial role in establishing Nestlé Infant Nutrition products as trusted solutions during the first 1000 days, ethically and scientifically building their image.
A Day in the Life:
Product and Concept Detailing: You will utilize your advanced Professional Negotiation Skills, backed by comprehensive product and concept knowledge, to detail the Nestlé Infant Nutrition range to HCPs effectively.
Territory Management: In your assigned territory, which includes approximately 250 HCPs and HCI’s, you will be responsible for ensuring field force effectiveness. This includes managing HCP classification, segmentation, planning master schedules, call rates, strike rates, and executing territory action plans. Additionally, you will engage in “hybrid/remote interaction” models.
Compliance: Strict adherence to the Code Management system is crucial in all your daily activities. This system governs compliance with the WHO International Code for the marketing of Breastmilk substitutes, Nestlé Instructions, and the local Code.
Advocacy: You will drive increased advocacy for Nestlé Infant Nutrition products and services among HCPs and HCI’s, leveraging your functional competency skills and key account management abilities. Building strategic relationships with key contacts in the private and government sectors is essential to enhance recommendation/advocacy at an institutional level and with HCPs.
What Will Make You Successful:
- B/BSc Dietetics/Nutrition or Nursing degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience as a Medical Delegate or in the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
- Proficient in data management using digital devices, with intermediate MS Excel skills.
- Must possess a valid/unendorsed driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Ndebele language is an added advantage.
- Strong planning, organizing, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Able to work independently, with a self-starting and solution-oriented mindset.
- Adaptable and result-driven.
- Willingness to travel, including trips away from home.
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and intermediate MS Excel with data analysis experience.
- Experience with virtual engagement.
